The Alliance of Students Against Poverty Club from Valparaiso High School hosted a concert at Valpo Velvet Ice Cream Shoppe in Valparaiso on May 30, 2014 to raise resources to fight local poverty. The group raised $2,000 from ticket sales to the event and donated the money to Hilltop Neighborhood House.
The performers from the club who performed at the event as "ELCA" included: Greer Brown, Luke Brown, Julia Dalton, JP Kunze, Bobby Gallowitch, Ian Norris, Jessica Rodriguez, Keil Vittetoe, Caleb Owens, Andrew Walits, Steven Gerry, Blake Biesen, Mary Cobble, Zach Sutton, Josh Turner, and Sam Baker.
