Opportunity Enterprises was recently awarded a $5,000 grant from Kankakee Valley REMC’s Operation Roundup Trust. The grant will fund one of seven ADA approved fitness stations along a new Fitness Trail at OE Lakeside. Construction on the trail will begin in spring 2015.
“We are extremely grateful to receive the Operation Roundup grant from Kankakee Valley REMC,” said Ellen DeMartinis, CEO of Opportunity Enterprises. “Their generous grant gives OE the opportunity to continue to expand and nurture our Lakeside facility. Our hope is that the new Fitness Trail will not only improve the health of our participants, but also engage our community members in activities designed for users of all abilities.”
