The Habitat for Humanity of Porter County will host three Homeownership Fairs on Tuesday, February 17th for citizens to learn about their opportunity to own a home.
You may be eligible to purchase a home in Porter County if you meet the basic requirements at the bottom of the page.
Valparaiso Public Library: Tuesday, February 17th 5:00pm
Portage Public Library: Tuesday February 17th 5:00pm
South Haven Public Library: Tuesday, February 17th 10:00am
Basic Requirements to Qualify:
- A Need for Affordable Housing
- Live or work in Porter County for more than one year
- To qualify, a family’s income must meet the HUD Income guidelines below:

- No open judgments and no bankruptcies discharged within last 2 years
- Must not have owned a home within the last 3 years
- Willingness to Partner with Habitat and complete at least 300 hours of Sweat Equity building your home.
