MDA-Summer-CampNW Indiana and Chicago-area stores to raise vital funds through MDA’s summer camp mobile program

Northwest Indiana and Chicago area SVT, Ultra and Town and Country stores, August 21, 2015 — More than 38 SVT, Ultra and Town and Country locations in the NW IN and Chicago area will raise money to help the Muscular Dystrophy Association save and improve the lives of kids fighting muscular dystrophy and related life-threatening diseases that limit muscle strength and mobility by participating in the MDA Summer Camp mobile program.

From August 19 to September 1st, SVT, Ultra and Town and Country associates will sell $1 and $5 pin-up mobiles that offer customers the opportunity to help send local children affected by neuromuscular diseases to a week where anything is possible at MDA Summer Camp at Camp Potawotami in South Milford IN and Timber Pointe Outdoor Center in Hudson Illinois – all at no cost to their families.

“MDA summer camp is often considered ‘the best week of the year’ for our kids, and it wouldn’t be possible without support from partners like SVT, Ultra and Town and Country and its generous customers and employees," said MDA Executive Director, Ashley. "Each mobile sold this summer will help support the families we serve and provide some amazing kids with life-changing camp experiences where they can build self-confidence and develop independence in an environment where barriers don’t exist. In addition to the fun and friendship, they acquire important skills that will help guide them into adulthood.”

During the program, many participating stores will often creatively display the purchased mobiles on their ceilings and walls, visually declaring steadfast support for helping children affected by muscle disease get stronger and live longer. And this year, it’s a great way to pledge their support by celebrating the 60th anniversary of MDA’s summer camp program. MDA-Campers

In addition to giving kids with muscle disease a week of awesome adventures, dollars raised from the mobile program help MDA push science to its limits in the search for cutting-edge treatments and cures, and support MDA’s life-enhancing programs such as its state-of-the-art clinics.
