Bowlers Roll for Catherine McAuley Clinic in 2016

Bowlers-Roll-for-Catherine-McAuley-Clinic-in-2016A second annual “Rolling for a Reason” bowling event to raise funds for Catherine McAuley Clinic recently took place at Stardust III in Dyer.

Some 138 participants filled the lanes and garnered more than $15,000. The clinic, 5514 Hohman Ave., is department of Franciscan St. Margaret Health-Hammond and provides free health care, diagnostic testing and medication for uninsured northern Lake County residents. The idea for the event was that of retired physician Art Branco, a member of the clinic’s board. Among participants were, from left, Franciscan Alliance Sisters Aline Shultz, Marlene Shapley, Maria Kolbe Elsto and Cecilia Clare Stoffel. For more information or to support the clinic’s efforts, call Tony Englert, executive director of the Franciscan Alliance Foundation, at (219) 661-3401.
