Morgan Township Students Swinging Hammers to Help Others

Morgan-Township-LogoDo you know anyone who needs a decent place to live? The members of Student Council, Honor Society, and Key Club at Morgan Township High School do. The members of these groups have joined forces with Habitat for Humanity of Porter County to combat homelessness.

In the parking lot at Morgan Township on April 30, volunteers from these groups will partner with Habitat for Humanity to build the walls of a house. The house will become the home for a family of 11 in Hebron. This is the first time ever that a school group has worked with Habitat for Humanity to build a home.

The servant attitude that the students at Morgan Township have is the type of behavior that makes all of us so proud of them. Students who reach outside of their school walls to help others is encouraging, amazing, and simply awesome!
