@PCgivingproject Awards 2016 Annual Fund Grant

YMCA-Grant-PCF@PCgivingproject is a giving circle associated with the Porter County Community Foundation made up of young philanthropists - from 20-somethings to 40-somethings - who are stepping up to make a difference for generations to come. This year, @PCgivingproject’s Fund awarded $10,000 in grants to two nonprofit organizations in our community.

The @PCgivingproject group awarded an $8,000 grant to the Valparaiso YMCA to help launch a Lego® Robotics Class for middle school students. The program is designed to advance training in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) and also teaches interpersonal skills by teaching students to work together in teams. @PCgivingproject also awarded a $2,000 grant to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Porter County to support the organization’s mission of building good character, living a healthy lifestyle, and promoting academic success.

This year, the annual @PCgivingproject FUNDraiser will be held on November 18th and will feature Windy City Dueling Pianos as the entertainment. The funds raised at this event will support future innovative education and youth development programs that serve children and youth in our community.
