Lane sponsors, employees and friends packed the Stardust III bowling lanes in Dyer to help raise more than $27,000 for the clinic, which, for more than 20 years, has been offering free and reduced-cost health care services to underinsured and uninsured residents of northern Lake County.

Shown, from left, are bowlers Sister Marlene Shapley, Franciscan Health Northern Division vice president of mission services; Sister Aline Shultz, chief operating officer of Franciscan Health Munster and Dyer; and Sister Mary Joseph Watkins, a teaching assistant in the Franciscan Health Dyer Behavioral Health department. Persons interested in supporting the clinic, which is under the auspices of Franciscan Health Hammond, should contact MinDee Richard at the Franciscan Health Foundation, (219) 661-3403.
