10th Annual One Amazing Golf Outing Raises $40,000 for Opportunity Enterprises

On Monday, August 28, 140 golfers took to the course at the Valparaiso Country Club to raise money for Opportunity Enterprises. Senator Ed Charbonneau lead the effort as a platinum sponsor and Christopher Runnion provided leadership to the volunteer Friends of OE Golf Outing Committee. There were a few sprinkles as the morning started and golfers gathered to register and network over doughnuts. Shortly after, the clouds parted and the sun shone on the 35 teams participating in and over 20 volunteers running the event.

Opportunity Enterprises CEO Ellen DeMartinis welcomed the golfers and sent them scrambling to their shotgun start all across the course. Throughout the day, golfers stopped to pose for photos and interact with Opportunity Enterprises’ Amazing Clients. As the day progressed, some found luck on the greens while others waited for the silent auction or 50/50 raffle to try their luck. At dinner, golfers, guests, and sponsors mingled while shopping the on-site Simply Amazing Market and perusing the Silent Auction possibilities.
