Speaking of Women’s Health Nominations

Lakeshore Public Television and Radio is happy to bring Speaking of Women’s Health®speaking-of-womens-health to Northwest Indiana for the ninth consecutive year! The Speaking of Women’s Health® Conference serves as Lakeshore Public Television and Radio’s largest and most well-received fundraiser. As the conference host, Lakeshore PTV & Radio is able to raise necessary operating funds while making a difference in the lives of women in the region.

One of the most rewarding aspects of the conference is the opportunity to honor, reward, and publicly recognize three women that are making differences in the community through humanitarian efforts. Here’s where we need your help! We look to you to nominate ideal individuals that may qualify for any, or all, of the three awards we present at the conference. Candidates should be dynamic activists in the areas of women’s health, well-being and personal safety. They should be individuals that serve as role models, affecting and enhancing the quality of life in Northwest Indiana, specifically in medical or health-related field.

Included in this article are the specific criteria for each of our three Speaking of Women’s Health® awards – the Alice Burrell Humanitarian Award, the Champion of Northwest Indiana Award, and the Leader of Northwest Indiana Award. Please review the information provided. Instructions on nominating a candidate can be found here.

Winning candidates will be honored at a private VIP reception on May 26, 2010 at Centennial Park in Munster, and again in front of 800+ conference attendees at the Speaking of Women’s Health® Conference at the Radisson Hotel at Star Plaza on May 27, 2010. They will also have a short video interview/interaction segment taped and shown at the conference, and their photo and biography will be included in the conference program.

Act now to celebrate the achievements of a special person in your life. The deadline is Friday, April 9, 2010. Should you have any questions, please contact me at Lakeshore PTV at (219) 756-5656.
