We are full swing into summer mode with many different activities happening. Our first Student Ministries Ultimate Game Night took place this past Sunday, and it was a huge success! Thank you to all who participated. One of our summer goals is for students to connect with each other and with our leaders. It was such a joy to see leaders and students getting to know one another, and having a great time together!
This coming Friday, the 4th of July, we will be opening up our facilities for use, handing out bottles of water, and serving our community with free parking and space to enjoy the fireworks. We would love to have you come and join us as we serve our community in this way.
As Pastor Lionel mentioned last week, he will be taking some time away with his family for refreshment and study. Please join us in prayer for him throughout the month of July. I look forward to worshipping with you again this Sunday, and I cannot wait to talk about How We Should Respond to the Word in James 1:19-25.

Seniors & Retirees
If you are a senior, you are invited to join us for the Seniors’ and Retirees’ breakfast next Wednesday, July 9th. We will meet at Viking Chili Bowl from 8:00 - 9:30 a.m! RSVP at Guest Services in the church foyer.
Coffee with the Pastors
Calvary guests are invited to Coffee with the Pastors on Sunday, 7.13 from 6:30 - 8:00 p.m. at Uptown Cafe. Learn about Calvary’s values and vision, and take the opportunity to ask questions of the pastoral staff in a casual environment. We would love to meet you! RSVP here.
Membership Class
Is the Lord leading you to make Calvary your church home? Then, we would encourage you to consider church membership. Our Catalyst Membership Class is designed to help you learn our history, values, and ways to get "plugged in". It's also a great chance to make new friends! The next class will be held on Saturday, July 12 from 8:00 a.m. - noon.
Student Ministries
Our next Ultimate Game Night is Sunday, July 13, with Connect Middle School Students meeting from 4:30 - 6:30 p.m. and Reliant High School Students from 6:30 - 8:30 p.m. We will have dinner, hang time, and a fast-paced rotation that includes messy, hilarious activities that we cannot wait to share with you! Students are encouraged to invite friends and come play with us!
Women's Ministries
We will be hiring a Moppets (Childcare) Director and Childcare Workers to care for Infants through 5-year-olds while our moms enjoy the MOPS program (Mothers of Preschoolers www.mops.org), starting in September. Ladies of all ages and stages are welcome to join us for a Girlfriends Night Out. Our 50s and Beyond ladies meet the first Monday each month, 20 through 30 Somethings meet the 2nd Tuesday each month, and 30 through 50 Somethings meet the 2nd Thursday each month. Men's Ministries
The Band of Brothers Summer Bonding Tour is back! Thursday, July 10, Calvary men and their guests are invited to John Bryant's home at 7:00 p.m. for an evening of fellowship together.
Band of Brothers will be hosting a Summer Men's Study on the book, Worldliness: Resisting the Seduction of a Fallen World, by C.J. Mahaney. Join Elder of Men's Ministries David Gring, on Tuesday, July 15 for this 6-week study. We will meet at Suzie's Café from 6:30 a.m. - 8:00 a.m. Sign-up at Guest Services in the church foyer.

Global Missions
Calvary is excited to be sending out two mission teams in July in partnership with Kids Alive International! Our student ministries will be sending a group to Guatemala to help with construction of a new girls home. This will make room for more girls who have suffered abuse and need to experience the love of Jesus. We are also sending eight married couples to Mitaboni, Kenya, to construct a playground and shower the children with love! Please be praying for both of these teams as they represent Calvary and spread the gospel around the world. If you have a desire to serve the women and girls of Guatemala, you may want to consider joining Stacy Young & Lynette Green for the Women's Guatemala mission trip scheduled for November 1-8, 2014. The purpose of this trip will be sponsoring a retreat for the female staff at the Kids Alive Oasis home and also ministering to the girls who live there.
