Don't you just love summer? Life is different in the summer--grilling out, taking a bike ride, going for walks, having coffee on the porch, hitting the dunes--to name a few simple summer pleasures I enjoy. And since God has given me so much, I can't help but worship Him. I just can't help it. I hope that worship remains a high priority for you this summer! Remember to enjoy the gifts, but worship the GIVER.
Speaking of summer fun, I'll be in the dunk tank (again) this year at 7:15 p.m. for Family Fun Night of Vacation Bible School. With 250 kids registered for VBS this week, it is crazy fun around Calvary. And most importantly, the lives of kids are being changed FOREVER. Thank you to all our volunteers for making this year our biggest one ever!

Children's Ministries
Our Calvary Church Family is invited to enjoy Family Fun Night tomorrow evening, 8.7! Invite your neighbors, family and friends to join you! We will have games, bounce houses, face-painting, music, and a free hot dog meal for kids (while supplies last). Additional food will be available for purchase. Kick-off will be in the Worship Center at 5:45p, and activities will open at 6:15p.
Join the Rock Solid Children's Ministries team here at Calvary! Our Wednesday night AWANA program is in need of many volunteers this Fall to provide mid-week ministry for our 3 year olds-5th graders. To get involved please see our Children's Ministries Leadership Team in the foyer after each of the services this Sunday or contact our Director of Children's Ministries, Victoria Evans-Peasley.
Move Up Sunday will be on August 18! All children will be promoted to their next grade level! Please note, children join the 2, 3 or 4/5 year old classes immediately after they turn ages 2, 3, 4, or 5, respectively.
Kids ages 3 through 5th grade are invited to attend our AWANA program which begins Wednesday, 9.3, from 5:45p-7:45p! AWANA teaches kids to love God through scripture memorization, teaching, worship, and more. Pre-register at the AWANA tables in the gym after services, starting next Sunday, 8.17 and 8.24!
Student Ministries
Our LAST Ultimate Game Night is this Sunday, 8.10, with middle school students meeting from 4:30-6:30p and high school students from 6:30-8:30p. We will have dinner and messy, hilarious activities! Students going into 6th grade are welcome to begin attending middle school student ministries, and students going into 9th grade are invited to begin attending high school student ministries.
