Calvary Link: Let the Children Come!

Calvary-Link-Good-to-be-HomeThis Sunday is Mother's Day at Calvary Church, and it is one of my favorite Sundays of the year. We don't stop all the great things we do every Sunday to focus solely on the family. Instead, we incorporate the family into our worship experience as we focus on God and all He has done for us through Christ.

We have nearly 40 little babies to pray over this Sunday in our Child Dedication ceremonies! Wow! That means that every 10 days a new baby comes into our church community. Isn't that amazing? As Jesus said, "Let the little children come!" As always, our worship will be God-centered, and the preaching will be straight from the text of Scripture!

Thank you for your input on our Vision 2020. If you think of something that will make our plans better, please do let us know. The thing that drives us around here is changing lives FOREVER! We are really excited about what God has done, and what we believe He will do through us.

What's New at Calvary...

Vision 2020 - Tell Us What You Think
Calvary's sense of community and shared commitment to Jesus Christ is drawing people in so quickly that our walls can barely hold them all! It's a great problem to have, but we're dreaming big about an expansion project that will make room for everyone. The Vision 2020 page on our website has detailed plans, a frequently asked question section, and a place to tell us what you think. You can also email vision2020@calvaryweb.net to share your comments and suggestions. We want to hear from you!

Mother's Day Child Dedication
When your family grows, our church family grows! To celebrate recent additions to Calvary families, we hold a Child Dedication Ceremony in each of our three services on Mother's Day, 5.10. Interested families should register online or by calling the church office (219.462.4026) by 9a this Friday.

Starting Point Membership Class
Become a part of our family! Starting Point offers information on what we believe and where we are headed while also connecting you with others who are considering making Calvary their home church. Starting Point is a three-week class. The first session of the spring class is Wednesday, 5.13, at 6:30p. Visit calvaryweb.net or Guest Services to register.

Starting Point for Kids
Starting Point for Kids (for kids 8-12) is a 4-week course focused on God's character, salvation, baptism, and following God's plan. This is a terrific course for children interested in being baptized as well as for those desiring a solid foundation for their faith. The class meets on Sunday mornings beginning 5.17. Parents are encouraged to attend. CLICK HERE for more information and to register, or stop by the Children's Welcome Center on Sunday.

Student Ministries Senior Night & Move Up Event
We're planning an amazing celebration on 5.17 from 5-7p! Sixth graders are invited to try out Large Group for the first time plus we'll be celebrating with our seniors as they prepare to graduate and continue on with their journey! This evening of food, crazy fun, amazing worship, and a message of encouragement is our last regular Sunday night meeting for the school year.
