I just love summer in the Midwest. I'm looking forward to watching some baseball, cooking out on the deck, getting out on the links, hitting a bike trail or two, and taking in Lake Michigan. From Valparaiso to Chicago to Southwest Michigan, there is just plenty to do in this beautiful world God has created.
And I'm looking forward to being with my church family. This Sunday, we begin a new series entitled "Real Christianity." We are going retro as we preach through the letters of John verse-by-verse. Worship in all three services every single week and all summer long will be totally focused on the God who has given us everything to enjoy. Let's worship HIM together.
There is so much happening this summer at Calvary. You don't want to miss a thing - from weekly worship to Father's Day in the Park, from the Summer Life initiative for Life Groups to Summer Life Nights for people not in Life Groups who want to get connected here, from Summer Camps to Vacation Bible School. Student Ministries Senior Night & Move Up Event
We're planning an amazing celebration on Sunday, 5.17, from 5-7p! Sixth graders are invited to try out Large Group for the first time plus we'll be celebrating with our seniors as they prepare to graduate and continue on with their journey! This evening of food, crazy fun, amazing worship, and a message of encouragement is our last regular Sunday night meeting for the school year.
Summer Life Nights
Want to get more connected at Calvary? Summer is the time to slow down and take advantage of long days and warm evenings to hang out with old friends and make new ones. If you're thinking about joining a Life Group or want to get more connected at Calvary, Summer Life Nights are the place to meet some other Calvary people. Dinner and childcare will be provided. Summer Life Nights are 6p-8p on 6.10, 7.1, 7.15, 8.12 in the Well (room 500). This event is for everyone - singles and marrieds, families and empty nesters, college students and senior adults. Sign-up online for the 6.10 date or at Guest Services on Sunday.
Men's Ministry Golf Trip
On Friday, 5.22, Calvary men will make their annual golf pilgrimage. This year we're headed to beautiful Blackthorn Golf Course in South Bend, IN. We depart the Calvary parking lot at 6a CST for tee times commencing at 8:30a EST. The 18-hole green fee (includes cart) is $55.
