I want to say thank you so much for your incredibly helpful feedback on our campus expansion plans! You told us that you love where we are going. You told us that you want our place of worship to feel like a place of worship. (I love that!) You told us you want a warm, inviting gathering space to hang out. You told us to create more irresistible spaces for our kids and great places for adults to gather for Bible studies. You told us you love the Life Change Center as an addition to our campus. And you told us much more. Check out the video from last Sunday for more details.
As we grow numerically, I want you to know that my greatest passion is our spiritual growth. This has been my constant message for the nearly 18 years I have served as your pastor, and this will not change! We will preach the Word of God verse-by-verse, gather for worship and prayer, grow closer together in community, and reach out to our neighbors far (missions) and near (local outreach) with the good news. We will continue to do what God has told us to do until His kingdom comes!

Calvary Serves
Let's do some good in Valparaiso during the annual Calvary Serves day THIS SATURDAY, 10.3. We have lined up projects throughout the community so we can serve the people of our city! Meet in the Well at 8a for donuts, coffee, and a short worship session then head out to your project. Sign-up here.

Prayer Warriors Needed
God, what would you have us do? This fall, we are entering a season of prayer as we ask God to continue to bless our church and to show us what He would have us do in the months and years ahead. Join Dan and Candie Blankenburg every Sunday, beginning this Sunday, 10.4, for a prayer gathering. Gatherings are in the church conference room at 9:30a and are open to anyone who is willing to commit to this season of prayer for Calvary. Come and pray for our church; we need you!
Starting Point Membership Class
For those who are considering making Calvary Church their home, Starting Point provides important information and connects you with others in a highly interactive format. Starting Point meets Sundays, 10.11-25, at 11:15a. Sign-up online here.
Starting Point for Kids
The Starting Point for Kids course (for kids 8-12) focuses on God's character, salvation, baptism, and following God's plan. This is a terrific course for those children interested in being baptized, as well as for those desiring a solid foundation on each week's topic. This 4-week course meets at 9:45a on Sunday, October 4, 11, 18 & 25. Parents are encouraged to attend with their children. Register here!
Men's Ministry Social
Join us on the first Thursday of each month as we enjoy food, drink, and each other's company. This month (tomorrow night) we will be meeting at Dave Gring's home. Meet a new friend or catch up with some old friends; enjoy life together. No RSVP is necessary, just show up.

Mom's Groups
Are you a momma of preschool aged or younger children? Our MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) group would love for you to join us for a play date at Will Park this Friday, 10.2, at 9:30a. Although we currently have a waiting list to join MOPS (because our childcare is full), we want to connect as many mommas as possible at some of our offsite play dates! (Visit www.calvaryweb.net/womens-study-groups to learn more about MOPS and to be placed on our waiting list. We hope to add childcare space to accommodate more children starting in January!)

Rooted Sunday Morning Adult Discussions
Rooted is an intentional approach to making disciples. Pastor Jon Nitta hosts these biblically grounded Sunday morning discussions that incorporate teaching, small group interaction, and short weekly projects. Rooted begins a new monthly topic, How to Develop a Consistent Devotional Life, this Sunday, 10.4, at 9:30a in Room 403.
Young Adult Gathering
If you are a young adult between the ages of 21-35, you are invited to attend the gathering. This evening of dinner and discussion is hosted by Pastor Jon and is a great opportunity to grow spiritually and to meet new people. Please join us in the Well on Friday, 10.2, from 7-9p.
College Students Monthly Lunch Gathering
If you are a regular at Calvary or brand new, we would love to have you join us for LUNCH THIS SUNDAY, 10.4 from 12:30p - 2:00p! This is a great opportunity for college age students to get to know one another, grow deeper together, and learn more about what goes on at Calvary. We will be meeting in Room 403.
