Passion Week is one of the most powerful in the church calendar. No matter how long we have known the gospel, this is the time when we stop to contemplate what God has done for us through Jesus the Messiah. What a joyful and hope-filled week! We are looking ahead to a time when Jesus makes all things new!
I hope you are making plans to join us this Easter weekend. Every year I look forward to the Good Friday services at 4p and 6p. These services are, as we like to say at Calvary, ancient-modern. We practice some of the same rituals and traditions the early church did, but with a thoroughly modern feel. You don't want to miss it!
We are going all out for Easter Sunday with four services: the sunrise service at 6:45a, 8:15a, 9:45a, and 11:15a. This is an awesome weekend to invite a friend to church! I'm looking forward to spending the weekend with you.
What's New at Calvary...
Easter Sunday
Easter Sunday is almost here! Join us at Calvary for a sunrise service at 6:45a or at 8:15a, 9:45a, or 11:15a as we celebrate the hope of Jesus, our risen Savior.
Childcare is available for infants through preschoolers at all four services. Calvary Kids programs are available for K-5th grade at 8:15a, 9:45a, and 11:15a.
Good Friday
Good Friday is our time to pause and reflect on the incredible sacrifice Jesus made for us. Through song, prayer, and Scripture, we remember together and prepare our hearts for the celebration to come. Services are THIS Friday at 4p & 6p. (Infant through preschool childcare available during both services.)
Welcoming Guests for Easter
We expect 9:45a and 11:15a will be our largest services on Easter. Help us make room for visitors, especially in Children's Ministries, by attending the 6:45a sunrise service or 8:15a service. (Pastries and hot coffee for early risers!) Also, take advantage of extra parking at the T. J. Middle School stadium or at the future Life Change Center across Evans Ave. to leave nearby parking spots for guests. Thank you!
Starting Point for Kids
Starting Point for Kids (for kids ages 8-12) focuses on God's character, salvation, baptism, and following God's plan. This is a terrific course for children interested in being baptized, as well as for those desiring a solid foundation on each week's topic. This 4-week course will meet at 9:45a on Sundays in April. Parents are encouraged to attend with their children. Class space is limited and pre-registration is required.
