Recently my wife Lyn and I, along with our three boys, had the privilege to travel to Kenya to visit our church partners, Nairobi Chapel, and to serve with Kids Alive International. My wife and I are so thankful for Kids Alive and the work they do, and we want to thank Calvary Church for your generosity towards them. Your giving is making a kingdom impact, and we have seen it with our own eyes!
I am preparing to return to East Africa with Sevenglory in just a few short days. This trip is a partnership between Calvary Church, Sevenglory, and Nairobi Chapel. Calvary is a church that believes in true, working partnerships in missions. The band is excited to travel to Kenya, Uganda, and Rwanda to play concerts, lead worship, and spread the gospel message. Having an American rock band come to play is an amazing evangelistic opportunity for our partner churches in Africa. It’s different and unique and that brings out people to hear the gospel message that might never walk into a church.
We can’t wait to share with you our experiences in Africa. Until then, we are still looking for people to partner with us in prayer and financially for this trip. I’m looking forward to worshipping with you this Sunday before we leave for Africa. As we continue in the book of Acts this Sunday, let us pray that we would experience God’s presence and power in amazing ways as we lift the name of Jesus together as a church body!
