One of the things I love about my job is being able to have an impact on the next generation of leaders. Mentoring is one of the ways our church is changing lives forever with the gospel. This summer 7 talented young men and women have been interning at Calvary. Our whole church has benefitted from their hard work and enthusiasm!
We’re sending our interns on to their next adventure this week, including our year-long worship intern Sydney Perry, who grew up at Calvary and has been mentored by our worship leaders through high school and into her gap year internship. She will be pursuing a degree in Worship Arts and plans to serve God’s church in worship ministry. Three interns are returning to their studies, one is beginning her professional career, and two interns are actually joining our team here at Calvary. These young leaders are bringing talent, drive, and passion to the church. Wow!
As some of our interns head back to college, hundreds of college students from around the world are moving here in just a few weeks. What an opportunity for our church! If you want to help impact the life of a young person, our local partner Friendship Families connects international students at Valparaiso University with families who befriend them as they adapt to life in the US. This is a great opportunity for families in our church to change young lives. There is more information about how to get involved on our Local Outreach webpage.
Discovering Serve Teams

Study Groups
Sunday 8.13
We'd love to have you be a part of a Study Group this fall. There are groups meeting throughout the week and talking about a range of topics from individual Bible books to themes like prayer and forgiveness. Learn more at the Calvary Women table beginning this Sunday!
What is Awana?
Awana is our Wednesday night Bible study club designed just for kids. It's got fun games, cool stories, and helpful memory verses. Open registration begins online this Sunday 8.13 for 3-year-olds through 5th grade and continues through Friday 8.25.
Move Up Sunday

The kids are just about to move up to their new grade in school so they're moving up in Calvary Kids too. Elementary-aged children move up to their next grade level classroom on 8.20.
MOPS Registration
Re-opens Sunday 8.13
Spend two Friday mornings a month with other Mothers of Preschoolers (MOPS). Gather around a table to laugh, share, and grow in faith. Register in the foyer this Sunday.
Be a Leader
