I had a great time away with the teaching pastors and worship leaders on Monday and Tuesday. We prayed, we planned, we dreamed.
We love our church, and we can’t wait to share the new sermon series with you! Credo: Here We Stand begins this Sunday. We’re going to spend 8 weeks talking about what the church believes—the essentials we stand on. It’s going to be good!
Some good news reached us while we were away, and we took time to rejoice in all that God is doing in our church. Over the last couple of weeks, I have seen the church community surround a family in desperate need of support and prayer. Their Life Group has nurtured and encouraged them. That’s why we believe groups are so important to community life and spiritual growth at Calvary.
All of this makes me excited to worship. Doxology is tomorrow night at 7p. I am going to be there with all of our pastors and worship leaders. We’re planning to enjoy some time together with the church family in the presence of our good, good Father. Hope you can make it!
Life Group Launch
One way we make our big church feel small and connected is Life Groups. We think that when people “do life” together, they build relationships of trust and encouragement. New Life Groups launch on Sunday 9.17 at 1p in the TJ Middle School cafeteria. Join us for lunch, meet some new people, and get connected to the community at Calvary. An RSVP is required.
Doxology
THURSDAY 9.14 at 7p
Worship moves us beyond ourselves to focus on God. Join us as we gather for Doxology: A Night of Worship for the whole church. This night of song and prayer turns our hearts toward praise of the One who loves us.

Early registration is open for Hungry, the fall men’s conference. God doesn’t leave men craving; he satisfies our spiritual hunger. An afternoon of ministry and a man-sized meal for $20.
Starting Point for Kids

Kids preparing for baptism or wanting to learn more about their faith are ready for Starting Point for Kids. Meets 4 Sundays in October beginning 10.1.
