All artists who have participated in the program over the four years, along with our unique downtown businesses and the public are invited to attend the Artists’ Reception that features a Fair Oaks Gourmet Cheese Sampling, sparkling water, and kid-friendly strawberry soda punch.

A blending of poetry reading and open mic will be hosted by Darlene McCarty Cohn at South Shore Arts. Some local established poets will be reading their works in between the open mic appearances.

Enjoy a night on the town at the reception, reading/open mic and also at Framing Concepts, 103 N. Main St., as Kat Rodenberger, Framing Concepts manager and Lala Gallery & Studio of Lafayette executive director hosts complimentary framing consultations throughout the evening for both the general public and artists.

The free family-friendly event, will resume its normal schedule of having artists display in unique businesses in May and then continue every fourth Friday of the month until the end of November. There will be no 4th Friday Arts in April, due to the spring holiday.

The event, in its fourth season, has grown in popularity with adults and children of all ages, as well as its artist affiliates. The event was most recently named “Best Public Art Display” by the NWI Times Best of the Region 2010.
