June First Friday All About Art in Downtown Michigan City

Uptown-Arts-DistrictThe Michigan City Mainstreet Association is pleased to present the First Friday Artwalk in the Uptown Arts District on June 1, 2012 from 5pm to 8pm. The Uptown Arts District is comprised of fine art galleries, retail and restaurants located in the area from 11th Street to the lake and Spring Street to Wabash Street in Michigan City, IN.

The June First Friday Artwalk is all about art this month, featuring a mix of jewelry, eclectic and fine art. See, taste, and enjoy all of the offerings at the businesses lining the Uptown Arts District. See the fine works at the Framing Station, Lakeside Gallery West, the Lubeznik Center for the Arts, Threadbenders Quilt Shop, the Southern Shore Art Association and many more. Taste the Tiramisu cupcakes at Arturo’s Baked Goods, delectable cake pops at Urban Soles, and finish with dinner at Maxine’s or Ryan’s Irish Pub.

There is something for everyone in the Uptown Arts District. Bring the family to view the amazing sand castle creations at Haas & Associates or to be amazed by the Joy of Flowers’ exhibit of larger-than-life arrangements. Take along the ladies for a night out of shopping at fine consignment shop Revive and Darling.
