The Duneland Resale will sponsor a Free Drawing Class at the Chesterton Art Center on Saturday, June 22nd from 12-1. Gloria Rector will instruct students on the basics of drawing. All the materials will be provided. The Duneland Resale has partnered with the Chesterton Art Center a number of times over the last few years, offering free artistic opportunities for the community. The Duneland Resale is a not-for-profit organization of volunteers dedicated to helping others. They are located at 801 Broadway, Chesterton, IN 46304. The Saturday class will coincide with ARTour - an event running from 11-2 that involves local businesses pairing up with artists demonstrating their artforms. The 5th annual ARTour will feature the Westchester Township Museum, the Thomas Branch of the Westchester Public Library and the Chesterton Art Center, along will many local shops and restaurants. The participating artists will be demonstrating a variety of skills, including jewelry making, blacksmithing, painting in all mediums, weaving, needle felting, rug hooking, ceramic arts and more.
