American Home Students Present at the PoCo Muse Join the students of Valparaiso University's American Home class at the Porter County Museum as they present the history of the Hilltop Neighborhood. Dr. Gretchen Buggeln's class studied architectural and oral histories to reveal the rich story of a unique Valparaiso Neighborhood. Hear about the students' findings for yourself on April 19 at 2p. The Museum will be open from 1-4p.

Annual PoCo Muse Historic Home Tour The Annual Historic Valparaiso Home Tour hosted by the Porter County Museum will take place May 9, 2015 from 11a-4p. The residential neighborhoods surrounding Valparaiso's historic downtown tell the story of the growth of a city, and the homes represent the life and culture of a vibrant community.

The seven iconic homes featured in the second PoCo Muse Home Tour represent three distinct Valparaiso neighborhoods- Hilltop, Banta, and Central- each with their own unique character. Each individual home displays unique craftsmanship and beautiful architectural styles. As you walk through these neighborhoods and homes, Porter County's rich past is revealed as you imagine what it might have been like to live in Valparaiso at the turn of the 19th Century.

Pre-sale tickets are $20 for PoCo Muse Members and $22 for non-members. Tickets are $25 the day of the Home Tour. Visit www.pocomuse.org for more information.
