Lubeznik Center Kicks Off “Awesome Gigs” Series July 7

How does one become a tattoo artist? awesome-gigs-lubeznikWhat is a typical day like?
What kind of training do you need?
How much does the equipment cost?

Learn the answers to these questions and more at Lubeznik Center for the Arts' first "Awesome Gigs" event featuring Drawn to Tattoos curator, and co-founder of Pioneer Studios, Harlan Thompson.

Thompson began his career studying sculpture at Arizona State University and has spent the last decade honing his craft at Chicago's Deluxe Tattoo. He draws inspiration from a wide range of sources including architecture, Japanese prints and tattoo iconography. His work is often large in scale, and very much in demand.

Attendees are invited to join Harlan after the event for a casual Q&A sponsored by Michigan City’s own Shoreline Brewery, co-sponsors of Awesome Gigs. lubeznik-center-for-the-arts
