Bridget Muntzing, 11th Grader at Valparaiso High School Wins The November Spot in the Cooperative Calendar of Student Art Contest

Kankakee Valley REMC is pleased to announce that Bridget Muntzing, an eleventh grader at Valparaiso High School has won the November spot in the 2011 Cooperative Calendar of Student Art. Bridget is the daughter of Steve and Kristin Muntzing. This contest is sponsored by Kankakee Valley REMC and Indiana Statewide Electric Consumer publication. Bridget-Muntzing-with-CEO-Dennis-Weiss

The wall calendar; made available by participating electric cooperatives around the state in early autumn, will be illustrated by the 13 winning works from each grade, Kindergarten through high school seniors. The artwork follows a natural progression through the calendar, starting with first grade art illustrating January, second grade February and so on through the 12 grades and 12 months. Bridget’s art work will be featured for the month of November in the calendar.

Bridget received a cash prize for her winning art work along with a certificate from Kankakee Valley REMC and Indiana Statewide Electric Consumer publication.

Kankakee Valley REMC, located in Wanatah, Indiana is a member-owned rural electric cooperative serving approximately 18,000 members throughout Starke, Pulaski, Porter, Lake, Marshall, St. Joseph and LaPorte County.
