The 29th annual Lubeznik Center for the Arts Lakefront Art Festival was held Saturday and Sunday, August 21, and 22nd at Michigan City's Washington Park. Attendance to the festival topped 6,000, more than the previous years. 96 artists and craftspeople from around the country were selected to exhibit from over 140 submissions. A total of $3000 in cash prizes was awarded in several categories.
