Winter Snow Show to Feature Snowmobiling, Snow Removal, Skiing, Sledding and Ice Fishing

Indiana-Dunes-Tourism-LogoThe first snowfall always evokes a variety of emotions: excitement from children eager to build snowmen and ambush their siblings with snowballs, awe from those inspired by the breathtaking landscapes covered in white, and sadness from the die-hard flip flop wearers who finally have to retire their footwear until the spring.

Whatever your reaction to the snow, winter in Indiana Dunes Country is terrific for bringing friends and family together. To help you celebrate and get ready for this changing of seasons, the Winter Snow Show is being held at the Porter County Expo Center on Saturday, Dec. 3 and Sunday, Dec. 4.

Numerous vendors will be present to encourage your winter-loving spirit and help you discover new ways to enjoy the season. Booths will feature snowmobiling activities, snow removal, skiing, sledding, tobogganing, ice fishing and more.

Snowmobiles, ATVs, outdoor clothing, AMSOIL products and more will be sold. In addition, a large group of swappers is expected to display their selection of used parts and snowmobiles for sale in the swap meet section of the show.

The Department of Natural Resources will be presenting a free seminar on snowmobile safety.

A large selection of antique snowmobiles will be on display for visitors to see how far technology has come in the past several decades.

The show hours are 9 a.m.-7 p.m. Saturday, December 3, and 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Sunday, December 4th. The snowmobile safety seminar will be noon-6 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 3.

Admission to the show is $5.

The Winter Snow Show is being sponsored in part by the Indiana Snowmobile Association.
