The annual Chesterton Middle School Benefit will be hosted on Friday, March 1 in the CMS Goldsborough Gym. Admission cost is $1. If you purchased a Benefit ticket, your stub will get you in the event. This event provides funding for CMS to purchase athletic equipment and uniforms and also helps with referee wages and bus transportation costs for our student athletes. Tax money cannot be used for these purposes and Chesterton Middle School is one of the few schools where athletes do not pay any fees to participate in sports.
This year’s drawing for door prizes includes 1st place prize-$500, 2nd-$250, 3rd-$100, 4th-$50 and 5th-$25.Tickets are now available from CMS students or at the CMS Main Office. The Benefit will include tug-of-war, limbo, hula hoop and volleyball contests between the staff and students. The public is invited to attend this fun-filled evening. Concessions will be available for purchase. Doors open at 3:00 p.m. The benefit drawing begins at 4:15 p.m. and ticket holders need not be present to win. The benefit will conclude at approximately 4:30 p.m.
