The Holidays Celebrated Through Music at Blue Chip

It’s the holiday season at Blue Chip Casino! The second annual Music & Mistletoe holiday lunch event was held on December 12th, offering businesses a chance to host their office Christmas party in style! With a buffet of mouthwatering cuisine, featuring carved prime rib, seafood options, and a mashed potato bar amongst other fine options, attendees satisfied their hungry stomachs while enjoying the sounds of crooner Jim Bulanda, as he performed his Tribute to Frank Sinatra!

This is one of our premier events, here at the Blue Chip,” stated Blue Chip Casino Director of Sales Angela Gaghan. “Because of the success of the annual Mix, Mingle, and Jingle event, we wanted to do something offered during the day. It’s really set up for those with small businesses, groups that would like to have a simple solution to get out of the office for lunch and have a small office party. We do all of the planning, the details, the entertainment, and great food for a great price.

Lighthearted chatter filled the Orleans Ballroom as attendees dined and went back for seconds (or thirds!). As soon as the buffet lines settled, Bulanda took the stage.

This is a great atmosphere,” Bulanda said. “I’ve been performing at Rocks Lounge [Blue Chip Casino] for 11 years and this venue offers a nice place to get together.

Bulanda took the stage, first as Sinatra, before showcasing his other spot-on impersonations, including Dean Martin, Louis Armstrong, Willie Nelson, Tony Bennett, Michael Buble, Neil Diamond, and Andy Williams. He even treated the crowd to a song he had performed with the Northwest Indiana Symphony.

Jim is well known here in the region,” said Gaghan. “By featuring him, we are trying to keep with the theme of doing some classic holiday features and offering a nice, fun, relaxing event!

The magic of Music & Mistletoe was appreciated by all who attended. “This is a wonderful way to have a staff party during the holidays, at a very reasonable price, where you are getting the best of food, the best entertainment and atmosphere,” said Kris Pate, Executive Director of the United Way of La Porte County. Pate attended with a tableful of United Way staff and board members.

We wanted to support Blue Chip because they are incredible supporters of the community and of the United Way in particular, and we appreciate their partnership,” she continued. “It’s a wonderful, wonderful time!
