Dine with Wine and Help Bring FINE Music to our Community!

Fine-Wine-DinnerJoin South Shore Orchestra for an evening of fine wine and delicious dining at their annual wine dinner on Saturday, January 25, 2014. Midnight Cellars Winery and Vineyard in Paso Robles, California will be the guest vintner for the dinner prepared by Nicole Bissonette of Bistro 157.

The event will be presented at Venue by Bistro at 74 W. Lincolnway in Valparaiso at 5:30. Tickets must be purchased in advance.

Midnight Cellars became the 29th winery in this prime location off the Pacific Ocean for growing grapes in 1995 after Mary Jane and Robert Hartenberger moved their family to Paso Robles, California from Chicago. On a previous family vacation to northern wine country, the kids challenged dad on retirement to buy a winery and they would run it. Midnight Cellars is now home to three generations of the family with their efforts establishing some of the best Paso Roblan blends as well as award winning wines of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Zinfandel and Chardonnay. Five wines will be served and expertly paired with a 5 course meal designed by Chef Bissonette.

This major SSO fundraiser helps to generate a portion of funding for the year’s operating budget. This being the 10th anniversary of the community orchestra that began with a few and grew to a symphonic group of more than 60, SSO is poised to celebrate their success and enjoy the evening with you!

Board members have worked hard to offer dining guests a lovely selection of silent and live auction items as well. Unique wine items, artwork by local artists, items donated by local businesses, and special items from our recent tour of China will ensure you will have a memorable souvenir of the evening and at the same time help SSO in making fine music for our community.

Tickets are $95. per person. Tickets must be purchased in advance. Order by calling Pete Brannen at 219-464-7816 or emailing petebrannen@hotmail.com.
