Opportunity Enterprises' Simply Amazing Market held their Easter Open House on a warm Saturday, right at the perfect time before Easter and when the weather was warm and lovely.
For those who are unaware, the Simply Amazing Market produces delicious flavors of gourmet popcorn, fudge, and a large selection of handmade chocolates and candies. Artwork created by individuals who work at Opportunity Enterprises is sold as well so if you want to leave with something very special, then pick up one of these beautiful pieces. Each purchase of a product from Simply Amazing Market not only gives you something delicious to eat, it also offers adults and children with disabilities support through employment and services.
Guests were able to get free photos taken with the Easter Bunny and lots of scrumptious samples were available. Pre-made Easter gift baskets, chocolate bunnies, other seasonal goodies, a drawing for an Easter basket filled with fudge popcorn, and other items were available for purchase as well as the usual Simply Amazing Market fare during the event.
"We have a variety of Easter baskets and gifts as well as ceramics that are specially made for Easter," Ellen DeMartinis, COO for Opportunity Enterprises, said. "Anytime we have the opportunity to showcase the things that we are doing at OE and have the community participate it's a win for everyone."
So people perused the shelves and picked out treats to take home to their families. The kiddos wore big smiles as they posed with the Easter Bunny as did the employees while they handed out yummy samples and helped guests with their purchases.
Some wore bunny ears so that they would look cool like the Easter Bunny. I mean, he is a pretty cool guy, handing out candy and hanging out with the kids Every Easter just because he can.
