Holiday parties can be a hassle - there’s the food, music, entertainment, and space to think about. Blue Chip Casino understands that parties can be a huge undertaking, so for the past seven years they have been hosting their Mix, Mingle & Jingle event - a holiday party that is put on for others in mind. Blue Chip brings together companies and various parties together in their Stardust Event Center for a hassle free holiday party that supplies guests with food, drinks, and a live band. The Mix, Mingle & Jingle is a destination for many companies from around the region that make the event a party of their own.
“The Mix, Mingle & Jingle is an event that we’ve hosted for the past seven years that’s an all in one package of a Christmas party. We do all of the planning, food, entertainment is all done for our guests so that they can not have the stress of doing that for themselves.” Angela Gaghan, Director of Sales and Catering for Blue Chip stated. “For the past seven years we’ve seen new people come and join in, but we also have a lot who have come back year after year - even some since it first started. This event is something we’re happy to supply for our region, and it’s great to see that so many enjoy the opportunity.”
As the event has grown each year, the Stardust Event Center has filled up more and more of people sitting together with their coworkers and friends to enjoy each others company. The room was lined with different kind of delicious food options, music was streaming from the speakers on the stage where the band played covers of some of their favorite songs, and the guests mingled together with comfortable chatter. It was easy to understand why so many have been hosting their holiday get-together at the Mix, Mingle & Jingle with the atmosphere that Blue Chip supplied.
One of the attendees that has been hosting their company’s party at the event was Pat Kohne, site manager at Precision Strip Incorporated in Portage. Kohne has been bringing over thirty of his associates from the across Northwest Indiana - and some from Ohio - to the event for the past four years. Kohne first heard of the event from an associate and decided that it was a great opportunity to bring his associates together for a party that was somewhere other than their offices.
“It’s a really good party. The staff at Blue Chip treat everyone exceptionally well and it’s an environment that all of my associates really enjoy.” Kohne stated. “There’s so many options for things to do for the night - dance to the band, eat, and go to the casino if they choose to. It’s a good atmosphere, a good destination, and a it’s been good place for our Christmas party for the past few years.”
It wasn’t only the company owners and managers that were thrilled with the party - it was also the family, friends, and associates who appreciated the party just as much. Hiedi Yakaim and Kathy King, who both came with their company Advantage Plumbing, stated that they both enjoy the event for all it offers - and the convenience.
“It’s just a great party. We’ve been having our Christmas party at this event for the past six years and it’s always been a good time.” King stated. “It’s nice to get together with everyone and enjoy the band, food, drinks and afterwards we get to stay in their beautiful hotel. It’s an experience, not just a night out. I really look forward to this each year.”
Eventually the night winded down, with many of the attendees dancing to the band or going to experience the other things Blue Chip has to offer. Next year another Mix, Mingle & Jingle will bring many together for a night out at the casino, but it’s for certain that the attendees are certainly looking forward to continuing their holiday tradition at Blue Chip.
