Oak Partners Show Gratitude for Clients This Holiday Season with Client Advocacy Dinner

As the sun set on Thursday evening, Oak Partners hosted their clients at the Gamba Ristorante in Merrillville for a cocktail hour and dinner to celebrate the strong relationship Oak Partners has with those clients. Specifically, this Client Advocacy Night, which they host every year, is an enormous thank you to those clients who have referred friends, family, and colleagues to Oak Partners for their wealth management and financial advising needs.

Clients continued to filter in, quickly filling up the elegant dining room, and mingling with each other and the Oak Partners staff who have helped them with their financial planning needs. Christmas music played softly in the background and clients took turns taking pictures in front of the photo booth that had been provided; complete with fun holiday props and regalia.

Though fun was the objective of the night, gratitude from the men and women of Oak Partners towards their clients was at the heart of it.

“[The Clients] didn’t keep Oak Partners a secret this year. They told people about us and advocated for us, and for that, we thank them,” said Crystal DeHaven, Director of Client Experience at Oak Partners.

This gratitude for the clients who came out that night and referred their friends and family to Oak Partners, was a central theme of the night.

“This is a time to say thank you for helping us grow and expand, and for becoming the friends and family that you are,” said Mike Barancyk, Wealth Advisor and Partner at the firm. “We feel strongly about that connection and as we progress forward with you, that we form a tight bond. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for being here.”

Barancyk and others were also quick to praise the efforts of DeHaven, who spent the last year planning the night’s client appreciation event to make sure that Oak Partners’ gratitude was not lost on their clients.

“A referral is the greatest form of compliment clients can give to Oak Partners because they are sticking their neck and reputation out for us,” said Joe Starkey Team Leader and Partner at Oak Partners. “[As a client] we treat you as best as we can, you’re not just an account, you’re a person and part of the family. We believe that very strongly.”

The appreciation for their clients was readily apparent in the smiling faces and comradery shared, which showcased the genuine bond which Oak Partners seeks to form between their clients.

“Good enough is not good enough,” said Barancyk emphatically. “We try to hold ourselves out from the rest, because good enough is not good enough for us.”
