Tickets for Oct. 11 showing of ‘Godspell’ expected to sell out quickly
The Indiana University Northwest Alumni Association and the IU Alumni Association -- Lakeshore Region Chapter, invite all IU alumni and their friends and family to join them for IU Alumni Theater Night.
“Godspell” will take the stage Friday, Oct. 11 at the Center for Visual and Performing Arts in Munster.
While the show starts at 8 p.m., IUAA ticket buyers are invited to a pre-show reception with appetizers beginning at 6:30 p.m.
Tickets are $40 for IUAA members and $45 for non-members. Prices include the appetizer reception.
As described on the theater’s Web site, “Godspell is one of the biggest Broadway successes of all time. Based on The Gospel According to St. Matthew, it features a sparkling score by Stephen Schwartz (Wicked), and well-loved songs, led by the international hit "Day by Day." A recent long-running Broadway revival, Godspell joyously animates the parables of Jesus Christ. Its powerful message of kindness, tolerance and love is told using such theatrical traditions as clowning, pantomime and acrobatics.”
