Sarah Dooley at the Chicago Street Theatre on Sunday, January 25, 2015

sarah dooley greenSarah Dooley practically grew up on our stage. A native of Valpo, she was involved at CST from a very early age.

Then she hit the road for NYC to go to college and just stayed there. After graduation, she dove into the entertainment business and has written an award-winning play and also explored her musical side. Her debut album, "Stupid Things," soard to #1 on the iTunes charts. Not bad, huh?

So, we tried to get her to come back and play a show for us. We finally had the right bait - her childhood friend Julia Weiss had written a play that we're going to produce in January, so we enticed her to come back home for opening weekend of Julia's play and, oh, while you're in town anyway, would you mind playing a concert for us?

She couldn't resist the offer.

The show is Sunday, January 25th, 2015 at 7:30PM Central. Tickets are $20, $40 VIP with souvenir 8x10 photo with Sarah.

Her music is best described as fun, quirky pop. We think you'll enjoy it as much as we do.

It's rewarding to see one of our own grow up and go on to be successful. It's even nicer when they come home once in a while to see what we've done with the place.
