Chicago Street Brings “Every Christmas Story Ever Told” and “Classical Blast” to the Stage In the 2015 Holiday Season

You can't spell "Christmas" without "CST" and Chicago Street Theatre has the perfect holiday gift for their grown-up audiences with the comedy, Every Christmas Story Ever Told (And Then Some!) running December 11 through 20. Fans of the group's past productions of A Tuna Christmas and The Santaland Diaries will love this holiday treat that combines the worlds of Scrooge, It's a Wonderful Life, The Grinch Who Stole Christmas and many, many others into a hilarious attempt to present them all.

Instead of performing A Christmas Carol for the umpteenth time, three actors decide to tackle a show that celebrates every holiday tradition, song, and Christmas Special they can think of in this madcap romp that will leave audiences in stitches. Directed by Dona Henry, Kelly Hite and Caroline Rau, Every Christmas Story Ever Told (And Then Some!) is written by John K. Alvarez, Michael Carleton, and James FitzGerald and features the talents of Bill Carns (Lake Station), Brian Kogut (Kouts) and Marty Weisenbacher (Valparaiso). Hite, who has directed many of the holiday shows with Henry, said, "This was a chance for Dona and I to visit many of the Christmas plays we've directed and some ones we haven't in a funny, funny way." Chicago Street Theatre selected the play as a grown-up alternative to Junie B. Jones The Musical which is geared to a more "family friendly" audience.
