National Vocation Awareness Week
National Vocation Awareness Week will start on Jan. 9, at 7 pm, at the St. Paul Parish, the Feast of the Baptism of our Lord, which marks the beginning of Jesus’ public ministry. It is our responsibility to encourage young people to be generous as they discern the possibility of a call to service in the Church.

Fundraiser for Gabriel's Horn
Come out to Woodland Park on Saturday, January 8, to support Gabriel's Horn Homeless Shelter in their sixth annual fundraising event. Tickets are $10 each and include a silent auction, appetizers and desserts, entertainment by Just Us & Friends, dancing and a cash bar.

Valpo Compost Site Opens
The Valparaiso compost site, 2150 W. Lincolnway, will begin Saturday off-season hours Jan. 8, for Porter County residents to dispose of their once live Christmas trees, wreaths and other organic waste. The 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday hours will continue through April.
