Industrial Revolution is thanking everyone for a great 2 years by celebrating all week long, with special themes! This weekend, come out for 80's night on Friday and Saturday, celebrate American heroes with the staff, as they dress in costume with each day's theme! Join the fun with food, drink, and dessert specials daily!

Valparaiso Firefighters L1124 Annual Spring Plant & Flower Sale
Don't visit mom this Mother's Day empty-handed; bring her some flowers! At this annual fundraiser, find annuals, perennials, vegetable and herb plants, flats, hanging baskets, and potted planters for great prices! Proceeds from this fundraiser go towards various charities, and money made from the bake sale will benefit the Valparaiso Firefighters Honor Guard.

CHS to Present Musical Grease
The Chesterton High School Music and Theatre Departments will present the musical GREASE Friday, May 11 through Sunday, May 13. Tickets are $10.00 Adults and $8.00 for Students/Seniors and are available for purchase online at www.showtix4u.com. Tickets will also be available for purchase in the CHS Main Office. Grease will be directed by Kristin Morris and student director Emily Albertson with choreography by Alex Hall.

Art and Soul Festival to Benefit Substance Abuse Treatment
Frontline Foundations announces it will host Art & Soul, a music and art festival on Saturday, May 12, 2012, from 5 pm to 9 pm at the Porter Health Amphitheatre located at Central Park in Valparaiso. The festival will feature live music by LWC Worship, Behold The Branch, Fathom Blue, Attaboy, Jennie Wellsand, and Calling Out Closer. Other attractions include food vendors, children's games and activities, live airbrushing, face painting, a photobooth, free giveaways, and a raffle for an iPod touch.

Indians' Baseball Team to "Strike Out Cancer"
The Portage High School baseball team will play its annual "Indians Strike Out Cancer" game against South Central. Proceeds will be donated to Jones 5th grader Ronnie Wilkins, who just received a bone marrow transplant on March 26. Admission is FREE & donations will be collected.

Immanuel Lutheran School Hosting "Touch-a-Truck"
Immanuel Lutheran School will host a Touch-a-Truck event on Saturday, May 12, from 10:30 until noon. The event boasts the Valparaiso fire truck, Valparaiso police K9 unit, monster truck, hot rods, race cars, Family Express Mooing truck, North Coast Distributing trucks, tractors, dump trucks, front loaders, and many more for kids (and adults) to touch, climb, and explore.

First Annual Mother's Day Pamper Brunch
This year, spend quality time with Mom on Sunday, May 13 at the first annual Mother's Day Pamper Brunch. The day will be filled with pampering, food, shopping, and fun for moms of all ages. This is an excellent opportunity to show mom how much you care, spend time with friends and family, and experience the benefits and pleasure of some much needed pampering.

Walk Brings Help to Recovery Programs
The sixth annual Porter County Walk for Recovery is a fund raising effort by Alice's Halfway House for Women, Respite House, and Moraine House - all residential centers in Valparaiso for those recovering from drug and alcohol abuse. Proceeds from the walk help fund the houses and the programs that are provided to the residents. The walk will be held Saturday, May 12, 2012, from 8 am to 10:30 am, starting at the Butterfield Pavilion in the Old Fairgrounds Park.

Teen Outreach Concert to be Held in LaPorte
The Beautiful Unusual Tour comes to Agape Christian Church on Friday, May 11, 2012. The show features three bands local to Indiana: Jennie Wellsand from Valparaiso, Finding New Life from LaPorte, and Attaboy from Huntington. Calling Out Closer also joins the tour as a special guest from Pennsylvania.
