Housing Opportunities Masquerade Ball: Unmask the Face of Homelessness
Join us for an exciting Masquerade Ball and help us Unmask the Face of Homelessness. This fabulous evening will be held on September 22, 2017 in the Stardust Event Center at Blue Chip Casino. This evening is a black tie optional affair. Masquerade masks are not required but are encouraged - feel free to bring your own unique mask or wear one that will be provided at the event.

Annie at Portage High School 
Regional Performing Arts Company opens their first showing of the family favorite musical Annie on September 22 in the Portage West High School Auditorium. Set during the Great Depression, Annie tells the story of a young orphan chosen to live with the billionaire Oliver Warbucks to help promote his image. Through his connections, Warbucks searches for Annie’s birth parents which leads to zany imposters at every turn.

Steve Miller Band Friday, Hammond 
If you want to see the biggest names in music live in memorable Chicago concerts, you’ll find them at The Venue at Horseshoe Hammond Chicago. Don't miss the Steve Miller Band live at the Venue at Horseshoe Casino on Friday, Sept. 22.

12th Annual Hammond Remote Controlled Air Show 
Mayor Thomas M. McDermott, Jr. and Hammond Parks & Recreation invite you to attend an indoor remote controlled air show and static display hosted by the Midwest RC Pilots on Saturday, September 23 from 12-3p. This event is being held at the Jean Shepherd Community Center, 3031 J.F. Mahoney Drive. Come and watch or join in on the fun—this event is FREE for everyone! Concessions will be available for purchase. There will be a candy drop for kids.
