VHS Drama Club Presents Bye Bye Birdie – Jan 12-14
Valparaiso High School Drama Club presents Bye Bye Birdie. A musical comedy based on a book by Michael Steward. VHS Drama Club will be performing this at the Valparaiso Memorial Opera House on Jan 12 and 13 at 7pm, and Jan 14 at 2pm. Tickets are $1- and can be purchased at the box office!

Wee Wonders – Jan 12
On Friday mornings at 10:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m., Wee Wonders offers a hands-on exploration of weekly themes for 2-3 year-olds. Classes include a book or two, music, and a weekly project. Children will use their senses to experience the world around them through artistic and sensory projects.

Boone Grove Baseball Camp – Jan 13
This camp teaches baseball skills and good training habits in a fun competitive environment. This camp teaches fundamental movements and good habits in a fun environment with quality coaching.

Porter County Parks & Recreation Couch to Foot Pursuit 5K Program – Jan 13
Porter County Parks & Recreation is offering a Couch to Foot Pursuit 5K program starting January 6, 2018. This trail running program prepares participants for the Foot Pursuit 5K, which takes place at Sunset Hill Farm Park on March 3, 2018. Runners from absolute beginners to experienced athletes are invited to participate. Children are also welcome. The program is taught by an RRCA certified running coach and an experienced trail runner. Training is at Sunset Hill Farm Park from 8:30-9:30 am, each Saturday from January 6 through February 24, 2018.

CHS Show Choirs and Show Choir Band Competition Show – Jan 13
The Chesterton High School Show Choirs and Show Choir Band will present their season competition shows on Saturday, January 13 at 7:00 p.m. at the Chesterton High School Auditorium. Pink at Portage – Jan 13
Porter Health Care System presents Pink at Portage, a special monthly event for women needing their annual mammogram, from 7 a.m. to Noon, Jan. 13, in the Women’s Center at Portage Hospital, 3630 Willowcreek Road, Portage.

Winter Open House – Jan 13
Don't let shorter days and cooler temperatures keep you inside! Join Dunes Learning Center naturalists for an afternoon of outdoor fun, plus an indoor "campfire" featuring live music and cocoa. Free family event - online registration requested.

Dive Into the Y – Jan 14
Families are invited to join us for an afternoon of fun and competition in the pool. Activities will include water safety program for youngsters, sampling of aquatics classes and other fun-filled offerings for the entire family.

The Temptations in Concert – Jan 14
The Venue is located inside the Horseshoe Hammond Casino, it’s a large yet intimate venue for a casino. There is plenty of seating providing an excellent view of the stage, however if you are slightly off center or just further away from the stage you can enjoy the show on two huge screens which broadcast an up-close view of the stage, so you don’t miss anything.
