Lets see what kinds of fun can be had this weekend, there is the exotic World Cultural Festival, healthy LifeWorks Family Fun Day, energetic Falling Waters 5K Classic Run/Walk, heartwarming Packathon, and more. September 14: Campfire on the Beach - Beverly Shores, IN
Join a ranger for a sunset and campfire program at Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore’s Kemil Beach. The program will start at the Kemil Beach parking lot, followed by a short walk to the beach.

September 15: LifeWorks Family Fun Day - Michigan City, IN
Michigan City and surrounding communities are invited to a day of family fun wrapped in a healthy theme, complete with free health screenings, a Teddy bear clinic, lunch, bounce houses, and the opportunity to meet new providers at the LifeWorks Building in Michigan City.

September 15: Falling Waters 5K Classic Run/Walk - Crown Point, IN
Join us for a morning and afternoon of fun, fitness, and food. The day will kick off with a 5K Run/Walk through the Falling Waters subdivision to raise money to support Tradewinds.

September 15: Dukes of Dixieland Opens the Symphony's 77th Season - Highland, IN
New Orleans in Northwest India¬na! The Dukes of Dixieland is a Dixieland-style revival band that plays New Orleans music, from Dr. John and Fats Domino, to Huey Smith and Louis Prima. Re-formed in 1974, the Dukes first performed in the French Quarter before moving to their own hall on Bourbon Street. Today their home base is the Steamboat Natchez. Prepare to party like it’s Mardi Gras!

September 15: Valparaiso Animal Hospital Open House - Valparaiso, IN
Come Celebrate with us! Indiana 105 and Porter County Animal Shelter will be there. We will also have tours, snacks, Valparaiso Police K-9 demonstrations, and prizes! Friendly, leashed pets are welcome!

September 16: World Cultural Festival - Valparaiso, IN

September 16: Purdue University Northwest and Michigan City Public Library Present Free Fall Movie Series - Michigan City, IN
The Purdue University Northwest Odyssey Arts and Cultural Events opens its fall movie series, in collaboration with the Michigan City Public Library at 2 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 16 at the Michigan City Public Library, 100 E. Fourth St., Michigan City. The movie playing on September 16 is "Phantom Thread".
