September 21: Valparaiso Varsity Football Celebrates Patriot Night - Valparaiso, IN
The VHS will be honoring heroes in GRAND STYLE! We anticipate hosting hundreds of uniformed Military [active/veterans], Law Enforcement [FBI, Sheriffs' Depts., Police Depts., etc.], Firefighters, EMT's, EMS', ERT's, Dept. of Homeland Security, Emergency Management - you name it!

September 21 - 23: Dunes Arts Foundation Hosts Plein Air Art Event and Public Art Sale - Michigan City, IN
The Dunes Arts Foundation will host the First Brush of Fall, a Plein Air art competition where more than 30 top artists from around the region will compete for three days for a chance to win over $5,000 in cash prizes beginning Friday, September 21, 2018. The event will culminate in an awards ceremony and public art sale Sunday, September 23, 2018, 1:30PM CST.

September 22: Steve Miller Band at the PAV 2018 - Hammond, IN
Steve Miller Band live at Hammond, Indiana's Wolf Lake Pavilion on Saturday, September 22nd. Just 20 minutes from Chicago. Gates open at 5pm, show begins at 7pm.

September 22: The Giving Games - Crown Point, IN

September 22: Portage BrewFest & Taco Test - Portage, IN
This outdoor tasting event will celebrate the region’s booming craft beer industry! Featuring local, regional, and national craft brews, the event will allow guests to sample over 65 varieties of beer, wine, and ciders!

September 22: Senior Art Fair at the Portage Public Library - Portage, IN
The Portage Mayor's Senior Advisory Committee will be hosting our Senior Art Fair in September. Local artists 55 years and over may submit up to 2 original, current pieces of art to the Portage Public Library throughout the month of August. The art will be displayed during the month of September. The public is also invited to join us for a reception on Saturday, September 22, from 1pm 3pm where they can meet the artists.

September 22: Humane Indiana 26th Annual Fun-Walk - Munster, IN
Humane Indiana’s 26th annual "Paws in the Park“ event is set for Saturday, September 22nd at Munster’s Community Park. The one-mile walk and vendor fun fair raises money to care for the animals of Humane Indiana.

September 22: Team Chevy’s 18th Anniversary Celebration - Valparaiso, IN
Come join us for Team Chevrolet's 18th Anniversary Celebration! We will be holding a raffle at 11 A.M. for the chance to win a car for $30! We will be giving 5 car's for $30 to any winning customer!

September 22: DEF 2nd Annual 5K Homecoming Hustle - Chesterton, IN
The Duneland Education Foundation will host the DEF Fun Run/Walk 5K Homecoming Hustle on homecoming weekend, Saturday, Sept. 22. The run/walk will begin at 9:00 a.m. at Chesterton High School (CHS), 2125 S. 11th Street in Chesterton.
