The Portage Chamber Annual Dinner

The Greater Portage Chamber of Commerce is having their annual Fall Dinner/Dance and Recognition Ceremony on November 13, 2010, at 6 pm, in order to celebrate 51 years of community involvement. The banquet will take place at Woodland Park in the Sycamore Room.

Simply Amazing Grand Reopening

Simply Amazing Market, a gourmet popcorn and fudge market located in Valparaiso is celebrating its grand reopening and is inviting the community to take part!

The grand reopening will be Saturday, November 13, 10 a.m. - 5 p.m., and will feature a life-size Candy Land game (10 a.m. - 1 p.m.) for kids 12 and under.

Friday Night Regional Football in Valpo

Race 13.1 Valpo

Fleet Feet Sports and T&H Timing have organized The Race 13.1 Valpo, a half marathon, to be held this Saturday, November 13 with proceeds benefiting United Way of Porter County.

Registration for the race is 7:00 a.m. – 8:15 a.m. with the race starting at 8:30 a.m. Entrance fee is $35.

Elks Basketball Free Throw Tournament

The Elks Hoop Shoot Competition this year will take place on November 13th at Thomas Jefferson Middle School. The contest, open to all Porter County kids aged 8-13, is free to all participants!

The Public Education Foundation of Valparaiso, Indiana invites you to attend a Fundraiser Wine Tasting with wine, beer and spirits! Appetizers will be served and chocolate samples will be provided by The South Bend Chocolate Company.

Portage Youth Commission Leaf Raking Assistance

The Portage Youth Commission is sponsoring their anual Senior Leaf Raking event for Saturday, November 13th beginning at 10:00am. PYC is seeking volunteers for this event and should meet at the Blue Spruce Room in Woodland Park at 9:30.

Blood Drive at Grace Church of the Nazarene

The American Red Cross will hold a blood drive dedicated to Gerry Albright on Friday, Nov. 12, from 2 p.m. until 6 p.m. at Grace Church of the Nazarene, located at 5360 Clem Road in Portage.
