The American Cancer Society is looking for individuals who want to join us in the fight against breast cancer!! We will be holding a meeting on March 30, 2011 from 6 – 8 pm at the Valparaiso Public Library (located at 103 Jefferson Street) in meeting room A. Any individual who is interested in learning more about our 2011 planning committee should attend.
The American Cancer Society Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk is as unique and special as the stories that motivate our dedicated walkers, donors and volunteers. Each step we take is personal and each donation helps save lives. Making Strides walks are non-competitive and three to five miles in length. Since 1993, nearly seven million walkers across the country have raised more than $400 million through Making Strides Against Breast Cancer - funding breakthrough breast cancer research and helping people stay well, get well, find cures and fight back. In 2010 alone, more than 800,000 walkers across the country collected more than $60 million to fight breast cancer.
