“Living With Alzheimer’s—Late Stage” a Free, Two Part Series for Caregivers

AlzheimersAssociationThe Greater Indiana Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association will host a free, two-part series entitled “Living with Alzheimer’s-Late Stage.” This weekly series is specifically designed for caregivers of persons with late-stage Alzheimer’s and/or dementia. The sessions will be held on two consecutive weeks, December 7 and December 14, from 1:00-3:00 p.m. The program will be held at the Alzheimer’s Association’s Valparaiso Office located at 15 N. Franklin in Valparaiso.

The late-stage series contains two programs. Caregivers will learn the concept of the self in the late-stage of Alzheimer's disease as well as learn effective ways to communicate, connect with, and provide daily care in the late-stage. The program will also cover late-stage care options and explain how to access and evaluate them.
