Porter Health System Supports the Fight Against Colorectal Cancer

In recognition of National Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month, Porter Health System will present “No More Excuses: Reduce Your Risk of Colon Cancer” with Gastroenterologist Dr. Amit Kalra. The free presentation will be held at 6 pm, Tuesday, March 6 at Porter’s Education & Rehabilitation Campus, 1401 Calumet Ave., Valparaiso. Free colon disease screening test kits will be distributed prior to the talk from 4 to 6 pm.

During the evening Dr, Kalra will discuss how colorectal cancer is the second leading cause of cancer-related deaths in the United States, and the role colonoscopies play in finding and preventing colon cancer.
