Porter Health System’s Sleep Disorders Institute to Provide Sleep Apnea Screening

In recognition of Sleep Apnea Awareness Week, Porter Health System’s Sleep Disorders Institute will provide sleep apnea screenings from 8 to 11 am, Friday, Oct. 9 at the Valparaiso YMCA, 1201 Cumberland Crossing, Valparaiso.

Institute staff will be available to explain the danger of untreated sleep apnea, how sleep disorders are diagnosed and treatment options available.

Established in 1991, Porter’s Sleep Disorders Institute is dedicated exclusively to the diagnosis and treatment of sleep disorders. Today, under the medical direction of Baqhar Mohideen, MD, and Richard Silberman, MD, Porter’s Sleep Disorders Institute helps patients understand the cause of sleep disturbances and learn about treatment options.

Located at 6040 Lute Road in Portage, Porter’s Sleep Disorders Institute features six comfortable rooms, the latest in screening instruments and a staff dedicated to helping patients get a good night’s rest.
