Hospital Offers Lymphedema Info Program April 28, 2015

rot5A free program titled, “Prevention and Management of Lymphedema,” offered by the Breast Care Center of Franciscan St. Anthony Health-Crown Point, will take place at noon April 28.

Participants will learn how:
* Lymphedema can occur at any time following lymph node dissection.
* Simple lifestyle changes can help prevent onset of lymphedema.
* Lymphedema can be controlled through self-management techniques.

The program will be presented by Lorraine Skolak, PTA, CLT, a nationally certified lymphedema therapist; LeAnn Hetrick, PT, CLT, and Joan Filipowski, MSN, RN, Franciscan St. Anthony Health patient nurse navigator.

The Breast Care Center is located on the third floor of the Burrell Professional Building, which is located southwest of the hospital’s main entrance at 1201 S. Main St.
