Methodist Hospitals Offering Classes for Emergency Medical Technicians

rot1Methodist Hospitals is offering a Spring Emergency Medical Training (EMT) certification class beginning February 12 and ending on August 9, 2018. Applications are now being accepted for the 26-week session. The spring session meets twice weekly (Mondays & Thursday) from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. There are 15 to 20 students per class. EMT certification and work experience are required for those seeking Paramedic training, which is also offered by Methodist Hospitals.

The EMT training program includes 200 didactic hours, 16 hours ambulance ride- alongs and 16 emergency room observation hours. At the completion of this course you will be eligible for testing for Indiana certification. EMT certification and work experience are required for Paramedic training, which is also offered by Methodist Hospitals.

Student candidates must be at least 18 years old and available to attend all scheduled classes. Cost is $1,000 and payment plans are available. This program is VA Assistance eligible and includes all course materials, including text book and work book, stethoscope, one clinical shirt, and American Heart Association Healthcare Provide CPR course.
