Franciscan Health Now Taking Applications for EMT and Paramedic Training Programs

rot4The Franciscan Health Emergency Medical Services Academy Crown Point will accept applications until 4 p.m. November 30 for its next emergency medical technician and paramedic training programs.

EMT Program
Applications for the five-month course are available from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily at the EMS Academy, which is located on the second floor of the hospital’s Medical Arts Center, 1201 S. Main St., Suite 201, or through the academy website, https://www.franciscanhealth.org/emscrownpoint.

Classes start December 17, 2018, and are conducted from 6 to 10 p.m. on Mondays and Thursdays.

EMT program graduates will be eligible to take the state written and practical exam for certification in Indiana. Applicants must be 18 years of age at time of course completion in order to qualify.

Course fee is $1,000, with payment plans and scholarships available.

Paramedic Program
Applications for the 10-month course are available from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily at the EMS Academy, which is located on the second floor of the hospital’s Medical Arts Center, 1201 S. Main St., Suite 201, or through the academy website, https://www.franciscanhealth.org/emscrownpoint.

Classes start January 8 and are conducted from 5 to 10 p.m. on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.

Enrollees must be Indiana-certified EMTs. Paramedic program graduates will be eligible to take the state written and practical exam for certification in Indiana.

Course fee is $5,200, with payment plans and scholarships available.
